CHESTER consortium is taking part in ECOS 2021, the 34th International Conference on efficiency, cost, optimization, simulation and environmental impact of energy systems. The event will be organized in a hybrid mode. Thus, it will be hold both online and in Giardini Naxos, Taormina Sicily (Italy) from 27 June to 2 July 2021.
The CHESTER partner University of Ghent (Belgium) will present the experimental results of the organic Rankine cycle (ORC). The ORC is one of the main components of the innovative CHEST technology. Kenny Couvreur will present a thermodynamic analysis of an organic Rankine cycle with a variable volume ratio expander for integration in a Carnot battery.
Another researcher, Robin Tassenoy will present a presentation on the potential of Carnot batteries for load shifting of solar photovoltaic-production.
All online lectures will be scheduled from 28 to 30 June. For more information and registration, please check the event agenda.
About the event
