In February, 2019, TECHNALIA started assembling the compressor into the High Temperature Heat Pump at TECNALIA’s Energy Efficiency lab.
Viking Heat Engines has supplied us with a compressor for the heat pump. Sometimes, looks are enough! Doesn’t the compressor look great (see figure 4).

Latest update: TECHNALIA successfully tests Viking’s compressor with a new refrigerant
July, 2019 Viking Heat Engines’ compressor was successfully tested with the refrigerant R1233zd(E).
Tecnalia has successfully tested the compressor provided by Viking Heat Engines with the refrigerant R1233zd(E) at Tecnalia’s Thermal systems lab. The compressor behaved as it was expected, and Chester’s required operating conditions for the HTHP were achieved.
